Halot-One Plus Review: Is it good for Miniatures?

⚠️ Good for Terrain/Large Minis

Solid resolution (30-50um). Great for tabletop standard, vehicles, and terrain.

Introduction

The Creality Halot-One Plus ($299) is a mid-sized 4K printer. It’s a bit of an oddball in the current market.

Printing Performance

At 40 microns, the resolution is “Okay”. It falls into the yellow zone—good for terrain and larger scales, but 28mm faces will look soft compared to 8K/12K rivals. It uses Creality’s integral light source, which does improve uniformity.

Build Quality & Size

The 7.9-inch 4K Mono LCD offers 172 x 102 x 160 mm. It’s a decent size, larger than the standard “Mars/Photon” size but smaller than the “Saturn/Mage” class.

Final Verdict

A capable machine, but it sits in an awkward spot between budget and performance in 2024.
